I was just now looking at that picture of Spock and boy does he looks like his mama only gray. Any chance he could turn brown? anyway, he’s got the same markings on his nose but I never noticed it before till I saw this picture.
Spock really does look like the gray version of his mama. I don’t think he could turn brown, I believe he’ll stay gray. (About 10 minutes after he was born – they were born at Michelle’s house – Brittany told me that he was Uhura’s twin, and she was right!)

I was just reading the entry from this day, 2006. Was that Sheriff Momma and Newt?
and
I was finally able to read the subsequent entries and I was half right! That is a Baby Newt! I am so happy he is still around.
Yep, that was a young Newt and Maxi and her kittens. Maxi showed up before we even bought the property, then one day Newt showed up with her, and then eventually she brought her kittens along too. (We fostered the kittens and they were adopted through Challenger’s House, the rescue I was fostering for at the time. Maxi and Newt were supposed to end up with a neighbor, but they had other ideas and ended up staying with us.)

I love the way the kittens walk through this tunnel/bed – just in one side and out the other, like it’s a hallway. Kes is all “What? This is how we use it!”
Spock looks guilty, like he’s not sure he’s allowed to use the chair like this. (As far as I’m concerned, he can use it however he likes.)
Kes is all “You gonna give me some of that Churu, lady?”
Troi got impatient and grabbed the tube of Churu, and it spattered all over her face.
All eyes on the Churu. (From left: Kes, Spock, Janeway and Troi.)

Charlie enjoys some time in the catnip pot. (Side note: That catnip has been with us since at least 2015. Every so often I think it has died off, but then it always comes back, stronger than ever. I’d love it if I could remember where I got it, but I have no idea whether I grew it from seeds or bought a plant somewhere. It’s certainly hardy!)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Kes would like to know where her breakfast is, please.
If you were wondering to yourself “Hey, self. I wonder if one of those child-proofing safety outlet cover boxes would hold a 3 1/2 pound kitten” Spock and I are here to assure you that yes indeed it does with no problem at all.

Troi’s big mouth, then and now. In the first part of this video, the kittens are two weeks old. In the last part, they’re 12 weeks old. That’s a big voice for a little kitten!
Troi strikes a pose because she is just so darn CUTE.

2 minutes of Troi purrrrring.
Good night innernets. (Kes (front) and Janeway)
