Nothin’ smells better than a sun-warmed kitten. Troi knows I’m about to sniff her head.
Spock in the sun, taking a snooze.
Kes in the sun, about to play with that packing strap (they love those things.)
Janeway’s all “What you doin’, lady?”
It’s a Spock pie (my favorite)!
Uhura has a stretch (and Kirk waits patiently to see if the milk bar will appear.)
Troi and Janeway have a snuggle.

Newt loves that scratcher couch so very much.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) this weekend.
Breakfast is served! Clockwise from top left, we have: Kes, Kirk, Spock, Troi and Janeway.
Uhura checks her look in the mirror and is relieved to discover that she’s still gorgeous.
Uhura is available for adoption – read her description below, and if you’re interested email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire. We are located in Huntsville, Alabama; out of area adoptions are allowed, but adopters must come here to complete the adoption.
Uhura (DOB 7-31-20) is an unusually colored chocolate-brown and white tuxie who was an owner turn-in at our local animal control. Soon after her arrival they realized that she was pregnant, and so she came into foster care at Forgotten Felines. She had her kittens at the end of July, has been an exceptionally caring Mama to them, and now it’s time for her to find a home where she can be the baby.
Uhura is a very sweet, friendly, confident girl who will meet you at the door with her tail held high. She loves to be petted; she’s not so sure about being kissed, but she’s learning to tolerate it with good humor. She has an instant purr – as soon as you pet her, she purrs like crazy. She loves to keep you company no matter what you’re doing, and will occasionally come over to see if you need help. She’s been so busy keeping an eye on and caring for her kittens that she hasn’t had much time to play, but now that they’re older and don’t require so much supervision, her playful, goofy side is coming out. She loves batting at feather teasers, really likes having soft toys tossed for her, and adores ping pong balls. She prefers vertical scratchers to horizontal (though she’ll use horizontal too, if that’s all there is), and is really good about confining her claw-sharpening to scratchers. When she’s not playing, she likes to knead for a while on a soft blanket, then curl up for a good long nap. She has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on her vaccinations.
Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.

Uhura’s biscuits are the BEST biscuits.
Kes loves to hang out on top of that mushroom scratcher and keep an eye on the peasants.

Janeway and Kirk have a tussle in (and around) the Fruitasan. He might be bigger, but she gets the upper paw in the end.

Troi has got the SWEETEST little voice. I think she might turn out to be a talker like her mama!
Good night innernets. (Troi and Janeway)
Spock readies his slappin’ paw for the busy day ahead.

Poor Spock – he just wants to take a nap in the sun, and Janeway keeps buggin’ him.
Uhura’s hanging out on the track ball scratcher letting Troi nurse. As she does. (Yes, even though she’s been spayed she will produce milk as long as the kittens nurse, unless she decides to cut them off. Most mothers let their kittens nurse as long as they’re together. And no, it doesn’t appear to hurt her when the kittens nurse, since she’s been encouraging them to nurse since she got home Thursday morning.)

Troi in the cave, batting at the hanging ball and being ADORABLE.
Good night innernets. (Some of the Trekklings are sleepier than others. From left: Janeway, Spock, Troi, Kes & Kirk)
It’s an Uhura pie to start the day. (My favorite!)
These little turkeys are 8 weeks old! They are A+++ litter box users, can eat solid food like champs (though they’ll still nurse whenever given the chance) and play like crazy things. They meet me at the door with their tails straight in the air, and are starting to see the appeal of having toys tossed for them. They’re so fun at this age!
Kirk continues to be the biggest, and Troi the smallest. You can see their weight chart here.
Line ’em up! (This is the first time they’ve all been up on the desk together for a group picture. Not bad for a first try!) From left: Spock, Kirk, Troi, Kes & Janeway.

Kirk jumps, chases his tail, and jumps again. He’s such a goofball.
Kes is just chilling out, keeping an eye on her siblings, who are racing around like crazy.
Good night innernets. (Kes and Troi, neither of whom look the slightest bit sleepy.)
