I’ve moved the Trekklings into the foster room, and Troi was all “LADY, there is so much ROOM out there, and there are TOYS and I can’t wait until I can figure out how to leave this ding dang crate, I’m going to be SO MUCH TROUBLE!”

While Uhura takes a break, the kittens toddle around the crate and Troi expresses her opinion.

Former foster update on Rufous and Wren (who went home 1 week ago!) Rhonda says: Wanted to give you an update on Rufous and Wren. They are doing great and are such a joy to have around! They really love to play in their tunnel toy and hang out on the cat tree looking out the window. We finally settled on new names for them. Rufous is now Tiger, named after our Clemson Tigers, and Wren is now Dotty because of the two dots on either side of her nose. Thank you again for raising such sweet kitties, they are the best!

Spock is having himself some very deep thoughts.
The Trekklings are 3 weeks old (as of yesterday), and this is what they look like now! Like miniature cats instead of formless lumps of fluff. They should start leaving the crate any minute now (they’re very interested in what’s outside the crate), and in a few more days I’m going to set up tiny litter boxes for them (filled with nonclumping clay cat litter). It’s been my experience that they start using the litter boxes a few days before 4 weeks old, and I expect the same from these guys. (Of course, there’ll be the occasional accident, but that’s what pee pads are for.)
I do believe Kirk has spotted the ceiling fan.

That right there is a kitten mosh pit. (Also, Kirk came SO CLOSE to leaving the crate, but ultimately did not. Next time, little guy.)
