Starling was just checking to see if Auntie Alice wanted to be friends yet, and was turned down.
So Starling went and took a nap.
Wren in the sun (she always looks so amused.)
Tater fits perfectly in this curve of the track toy and likes to nap there.
Rufous discovered this cardboard couch and found it comfy.

“I am not accepting applications for friends at this moment,” says Alice. “Tell them to check back the 12th of never.”

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Wren’s having a hard time getting going this morning, and she doesn’t mind complaining about it.
Rufous is helping (permanent resident) Uncle Newt out with cleaning his breakfast plate, because he’s a giver. (Wren prefers to hang back ’til it’s safe.)

This video was originally intended to show that Tater had a new favorite toy (the yellow ball). But then Starling STOLE IT. And THEN Wren stole Rufous’s second-favorite toy (the red spring has disappeared for now; I need to look behind the refrigerator). But, spoiler: he got it back from her!
Wren would like you to know that the permanent residents’ litter boxes – which are in the hall bathroom downstairs – are much preferable to the litter boxes in the foster room. Same size boxes, same kind of litter, but way better all the same.

Wren does a sudden out-of-nowhere straight-up leap when Tater runs at her (which causes Rufous to arch up and me to laugh), so of course we then needed to see the leap in slow motion.
Good night innernets. (Starling (left) and Tater)
