2-2-22 would be a good date to birth some kittens. I could easily remember that date! Alas, we are not that close to kittens just yet.
(I hope someone’s getting married on this date, anyway. It’s a good date!)

Mimosa’s watching the backyard shenanigans.
Look at that expectant little face!
She has such pretty eyes. This picture shows the color accurately. I’m not sure what you’d call that color – I suggested “dark amber,” Fred thought “honey.” Whatever you call them, they’re gorgeous!
If you were curious, as best I can tell, Mimosa’s waist (as of January 31st) measures 19 inches. She wasn’t loving the sensation of having her waist measured (I’m with her!), but if it’s not exactly 19″, it’s pretty close.
I’ll try to remember to measure it each week (while also hoping there aren’t too many more weeks between now and kittens!)

Alice Mo is all “EXCUSE ME, lady! Can’t a girl get some PRIVACY?!”

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
From Wikipedia: “Rabbit rabbit rabbit” is a superstition found in Britain and North America wherein a person says or repeats the words “rabbit”, “rabbits” and/or “white rabbits” aloud upon waking on the first day of a month, to ensure good luck.
I know a lot of people had no idea that a Mimosa is a tree as well as a drink, so in case you were curious what a Mimosa tree looks like, here you go. I think they’re pretty, but a lot of people hate them because they are, indeed, invasive here in the south. The naming theme for Mimosa’s kittens will still be invasive plants and trees (I have a list a mile long – I could probably use that theme for the entire year and not run out of names), and they’ll be known collectively as “The Sprouts” (I was going to call them The Invaders back in the days when we thought Ivy was pregnant, so that name is – in my mind – tied to Ivy and if I try to use it with these guys, I’ll confuse myself.)
Did I mention this girl likes herself the Da Bird teaser? She totally does!
(Da Bird teaser, made by Go Cat, can be found on Amazon and (I think) Chewy, and I’ve seen it in Petco.)
Mimosa was going to take a bath, but got distracted.
Good night innernets. (Mimosa)
