I did some rearranging in the foster room – moved the red crate to the space under the sink (which is a more secluded location), put a plastic bin in another corner of the room with a blanket in it, and put the big green crate in the corner where the red crate had been. I figure the more options Mimosa has for a space to birth her kittens, the better. As soon as I set up the green crate, she jumped on top and stayed there for the rest of the afternoon, alternately bathing and napping.
“What? Is comfy!”
I’m hoping she’ll opt to birth those kittens in the crate rather than on top, but I think we all know I don’t get a vote.

Mimosa’s all “Let’s get this breakfast show on the road, lady.”
It’s an Ivy update! Dawn says: “Jolene (Jessica) and Ivy are settling in perfectly with Porthos and d’Artagnan. Jolene loves to hang out and nap in either Dad’s office or in “her” chair downstairs. Ivy has found her perfect nap spot on top of a giant dog bed that’s under the guest room bed. The boys weren’t so sure about having sisters but when they saw the cool toy that came home with them, they changed their minds.”
That’s Ivy in the upper left (she enjoyed hanging out under my bed when she was here, too, if only to laugh at me when I couldn’t find her and got worried!), on the right is Ivy and Jolene exploring their first day home.
