Weekly Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr Roundup.
Someone please do the math for me… I have five kittens on me and kittens’ body temperature runs at about 7 million degrees (Farenheit), how long until I am completely melted?
The look Constance gave me when I asked if she could possibly be any cuter. (I assume the answer is “no.”)

Your Daily BOOP, featuring d’Artagnan (who is not too old for BOOPing, I don’t care what he says.)
It’s a Winter-Porthos pie! My favorite!

Wherein Aramis is a cutie pie, and so is d’Artagnan. And Planchet, back there minding his own business!
Athos is all “Come here, lady. I gots a knuckle sammich for you.” and Aramis is all “YEAH.”
“Lady, what. What you want?” Just to admire you, Aramis, if y’don’t mind.

“Ma’am, your flingerflanger is shot. Needs to be replaced. Gonna be about a million dollars.” Planchet the mechanic (and Constance the snoopervisor.)
We have met the vacuum cleaner, and we are not impressed.

Before I started making the video, Constance was talking up a storm, telling me all about the vacuum cleaner and how it was scary, but then she pulled the Michigan J. Frog routine on me. Brat.
Winter and one of her favorite toys – a big ol’ wad of dog fur. That toy and the little ball made out of cat fur are the best toys ever, according to her.

Rochefort (and Athos) running in circles. They LOVE that track toy.
Athos, wondering if he needs some sunscreen.
Go on. You know you wanna. It’s not a trap. REALLY. (Aramis)

Forgotten Felines of Huntsville is NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS for Aramis, Planchet, Porthos, Athos and d’Artagnan. Email info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire. (Constance and Rochefort are adoption pending (together) and Winter is also adoption pending.)
Aramis (date of birth: June 2nd) and Planchet (May 24th) are going for their neuter surgeries next week. Athos, Porthos and d’Artagnan (June 2nd) aren’t quite big enough for their surgeries yet, so will be going in early to mid September.
Forgotten Felines has a strict kitten policy – kittens must either be adopted in pairs OR be joining a home with a young cat already in residence.
Once again, email Forgotten Felines at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.

“Ooh, she’s cute!” (Constance)
Good night innernets. (d’Artagnan)
Line ’em up! Left to right: d’Artagnan, Rochefort, Winter, Planchet, Constance, Aramis, Porthos and Athos.
Now accepting applications! Porthos (date of birth June 2, 2020) is a little sweetheart with a big purr and a penchant for snuggling (when he’s not busy tussling with another kitten.) He loves to be petted and snuggled, will politely nurse on the collar of your shirt a little (behavior he may or may not grow out of, but it’s very sweet), and loves to run, jump and play. He gets along great with other kittens, and if you’re looking to adopt a pair, may we suggest his bat-eared brother d’Artagnan? (He gets along great with ALL the kittens in his foster home, though.) Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
Now accepting applications! Aramis (date of birth June 2, 2020) is a silky-soft cutie pie who loves a good kiss-and-snuggle, will snooze on you for a bit, and then retreat to his own space for a nap. He is super playful and loves to chase ping pong balls around. He gets along great with the other kittens and can often be found giving them a bath. If you’re looking for a pair, he and Athos or Planchet would make an excellent pair. (He gets along great with ALL the kittens in his foster home, though.)
Now accepting applications! D’Artagnan (date of birth June 2, 2020) is a super sweet, super snuggly muffinhead with extremely expressive ears (they move independent of each other and are a lot of fun to watch). He’s got a lot to say when he’s not racing around playing like a crazy thing. He loves to snuggle and purrs like crazy, and will put up with being kissed even though he’s not entirely sure what that’s about. If you’re looking for a pair of kittens, he would be great with Porthos or Planchet, though he gets along great with ALL the kittens in his foster home.
Now taking applications! Athos (date of birth: June 2, 2020) is the quintessential orange tabby: the cat version of a laid-back surfer dude. He’s a bit timid at first, but once he gets to know you, he’s all about hanging out and being buddies. He is super playful (loves ping pong balls and rattly toy mice) and is ALL ABOUT other cats – he might be a bit timid with people at first, but he has no fear with other cats. He’s a sweet boy and loves to snuggle with both humans and his foster siblings. He has a quiet, deep purr and soft, silky fur. He gets along great with other kittens, and if you’re looking to adopt a pair, may we suggest his foster brothers Aramis or Planchet? (He gets along great with ALL the kittens in his foster home, though.)
Now taking applications! Planchet (date of birth: May 24, 2020) is a quiet guy, the silent observer of the group. He sits back and watches to see how things go before he jumps in to join in on the fun. He loves a lot of one-on-one snuggle time, but doesn’t want to be in the middle of a crowd (if he shows up for a snuggle and there are 5 other kittens already there, he’ll retreat to a distance and snooze by himself). He is excellent at reading cues from other cats, and if they don’t want to play (or if they’re smaller and need a gentler touch), he acts accordingly. He gets along great with other kittens, and they all really like him too. If you’re looking to adopt a pair, may we suggest his snuggle buddies Athos or Aramis? (He gets along great with ALL the kittens in his foster home, though.)
Winter is NOT available for adoption (she’s adoption pending), but I couldn’t resist sharing this picture because LOOK at that attitude. That girl kills me.
Rochefort (left) and Constance are adoption pending, but LOOK HOW CUTE. He is so plush and she is 99% eyeball. They are both SO SQUOOSHABLE.

“I don’t WANT a bath, Aramis!”
Continuing to work through all our fosters from way back when, these guys were (left to right) Westley, Princess Buttercup, Inigo, and Fezzik – fosters #14, 15, 16 & 17.
In September 2006, we bought the house – Crooked Acres – where we lived until November 2017. Not long after we bought the house, a black female cat who’d clearly recently given birth showed up in the back yard. She came around regularly, and we made sure she always had food and water. A while later, she showed up again, this time with a buff tabby male cat. And then finally, in mid-October, she showed up with four kittens in tow. We made sure they didn’t belong to anyone, and had them spayed and neutered and caught up to date on their shots.
The kittens were with us for about three weeks, and then went to Petsmart and were adopted soon after. Their mother became our permanent resident Maxi (who passed away in 2018) and the buff tabby male became permanent resident Newt. (Maxi and Newt were never fosters – they were going to go live with a neighbor, but they decided they liked us more.)

Talky kittens. (It’s short because I had to put the phone down so I could snuggle them!)
Fosters #18, 19, 20 & 21: O’Malley, Izzie, Meredith Grey and Christina, named after characters from Grey’s Anatomy (the TV show) and called collectively The Greys; they came to us in November 2006. They were between 4 and 5 months old, and had showed up on a woman’s porch one day. She fed them, but ultimately couldn’t care for them all, so turned them over to Challenger’s House (who I fostered for from 2005 – 2017). They were only with us for about five days before room opened up for them at Petsmart. They were all adopted out pretty quickly, as I recall.

How the magic happens: If you’ve ever thought, “Just how DOES Robyn get large numbers of kittens in one picture, teach me how the magic happens, oh please!”, here’s my video from 2018, when we were fostering The Mainers. This, folks. THIS is how the magic happens. (Though I do it completely differently with more recent fosters, so maybe it’s time for a new video.)

Track toy fun. (Winter doesn’t like it when I make all the balls go at the same time.) The only kitten missing from this video is Porthos, who was snoozing on the couch behind me.

Post-breakfast snuggle with Winter. She brought some water in case we get thirsty later.
“Innernets, LOOK! I gots a foot!” And what a lovely foot it is, Constance.

Play time in the kitten room. They really like that tunnel scratcher!
When Aramis purrs, he has what Fred and I have named a “cricket purr” – it’s high and squeaky and catches at the top. And he purrs a LOT, because he is one happy boy. The only time he doesn’t purr? When I’m trying to get his purr on video, naturally. *ribbit*
Good night innernets. (Athos & Constance)
Breakfast time! Clockwise from orange Athos, we have: Athos, Planchet, d’Artagnan, Constance, Porthos, Aramis, Winter and Rochefort.

For reasons known only to himself, d’Artagnan put on his floof suit to supervise Winter, who was hanging out under the blanket.
