The kittens all look like they have a bare ring around their mouths. Is that due to nursing?
It’s a combination of the fur around their mouths being thinner there, along with the lighting. In person, you can see that it’s not actually bare.

Question: are Diego and Javier turning into “scaredy” cats? I’m assuming they’re getting equal pampering time. It must be genetics (personality). What do you make of it?
No, not at all. Alejandro and Carmelita have been so advanced compared to the other three, that Javier, Diego and Pablo spending much more time hanging out in the crate (and not in my lap) makes it look like they’re unfriendly. In actuality, they ain’t skeered o’ nothing, and in fact Diego has grown fond of biting my slippers and showing them who the boss is. (Also: the kittens all have very sharp teeth now.. yayyyy.)
