Josephine and Fleur are now at Petsmart. I dropped them off about noon yesterday, and while they weren’t thrilled, they ran around and played a bit with Henri and Gabrielle while I was setting up their cage.
Here they are before they went – and I’ll have more pictures of them in tomorrow’s post as well because they were being particularly photogenic yesterday so I got a bazillion pictures.
Josephine checks out the Christmas lights.
Fleur’s all “Not sure how I did this, lady. Help?”
Josephine checks out the twinkly lights. I bet you can guess what happened next…
“Just a little taste…” (Yes, I grabbed her before she could eat the light. Not that she wanted to – it apparently wasn’t very tasty.)
Such an expressive little face.
Fleur snoopervised while I wrote out Christmas cards.
The permanent residents apparently knew that the kittens were gone; by the time I got home, they were spread throughout the house in a way they haven’t been since, oh, February or so. Alice, especially, who usually spends her days in the heated house on the screened porch, was on the kitchen table, enjoying the sun. It was nice to see them relaxing.

“A sheriff can take a break in the big pink fluffy bed if she wants to, lady!” That bed has proven to be very popular – if Kara’s not snoozing in it, Archie is. I’ve pondered buying a second one, but I’m not sure where I’d put it, so I’ll hold off for now.
(I got the bed from Amazon – but it comes from China, so just be aware that it’ll take a while to get to you if you order one.)
