I had rotator cuff surgery on November 4th, and have pre-written and scheduled entries that will auto-post while I’m recovering.
I had my stitches out on Friday. I am healing well and doing fine and doing lots of physical therapy. I’m experiencing a lot less pain than I expected, and am really only taking pain meds at bedtime. I still have a way to go before I’m at 100%, but so far, so good!

Catelyn went to Petsmart last Thursday evening. Theresa told me on Friday that Catelyn was scared and skittish, and she was worried about her. We hoped that Catelyn would adjust (I mean, remember that she never spent any time at Petsmart before, because she was adopted the night she went, last year) – then, on Saturday, she was adopted!
And because I’m talking about Catelyn, how about a couple of pictures of that gorgeous girl while she was here with us a year ago?
This is a particular favorite picture of mine because Catelyn and Trader Joe (who is now Sherman) turned out to be really good friends. They didn’t start out that way, though – the night I brought Catelyn home and threw her in with the rest of the Grocers (a move we like to call “Meet yer new partner!”), he was really scared of her. In fact, he was so terrified that the next morning when I went into the room, I found that he’d used a cat bed as his litter box. I don’t think she was picking on him or bullying him, I think she was just sitting in (or near) the doorway to the closet, and he was too scared to go around her. Awww. That only lasted for a day, though, and as you can see, they ended up being buddies.
Edited to add: (Sherman (formerly Trader Joe) was adopted by Lilly, who drove all the way down here from Wisconsin to adopt him. She frequently posts pictures of Sherman and his sisters over at Instagram!)

Myrtle Beach Sunrise.
I used my phone to make a time-lapse video of the sunrise. It’s the first time I’ve done it, so I made some rookie mistakes – for one, it’s focused on the sand rather than the sun. But at least next year I have a better idea of how to do it. I thought it was neat, anyway.
