Myrtle Beach Thursday.
(Sights from my trip to Myrtle Beach, obviously.)
The beach, my first morning there. Absolutely gorgeous weather.
After breakfast, we went to Barefoot Landing to do a little shopping. Imagine our surprise when we saw a squirrel go into one of the stores and demand a peanut. Then he went under one of the displays and ate it. He went back to the register and demanded another one, and then took it outside to bury. So cute!
Boardwalk across the water at Barefoot Landing.
Another shot across the water at Barefoot Landing.
We were feeding the fish (carp, mostly) and these two turtles came paddling over to see what we had.
More sunrise. I took about 300 pictures of the sunrise. It was very difficult to narrow them down to just a few, believe me.
Early(ish) morning on the beach.
One morning we drove to, I think, south of Myrtle Beach, and we looked at the houses. Such cute houses – and so expensive. (Go figure, right? Houses right on or near the beach are so seldom expensive!)
We went to Broadway at the Beach to look around, and feed the fish, and these fish were just nightmarishly aggressive. They were throwing themselves on top of each other to get to the fish food we were tossing to them. Could you imagine falling into that water?
Pretty sure Fred needs this mug (and equally sure he’d never use it.)
Eating lunch at Pier 14.
And then the other. The timeshare where we were staying was up the beach thataway.
I’m pretty sure that in case of tsunami, beach evacuates YOU.
More beach. I’ve actually never gone swimming at Myrtle Beach, but if I’d had a bathing suit with me, I would have this time around. The water was surprisingly warm.
My mother took this picture of me. You can’t see it, but I had the camera in my hand and was taking a picture.
On the beach at sunset (that’s me on the left, some stranger on the right.)
Guess who’s going off to be spayed in a little while? You can see how thrilled she is about that. She looks so clean and white and healthy!
“But… I don’t wanna be spayed!”
“Uh… nope. I’m good. Is it snack time yet?”
Magoo in the sun, looking skeptical.
They love the foster room in the afternoon. Lots of sun to stretch out in.
Magoo. I sure do love that silly boy.
Polly, watching the shadows on the wall.
Petey Pickle and his spotted belleh.
Joe Bob has ALWAYS got something to say.
