Well that’s quite the guilty little face on Mimosa.
“Come on, lady, it’s time to have the pettin’.”
Mimosa seems a little more restless to me in the past day or two (which is normal toward the end of pregnancy.) She’s checked out both the crates, dug around in them a little, and is more talkative than ever. Her appetite remains voracious. Sometimes when kitties are in the last couple of days of pregnancy there’s a sharp drop-off in their appetite, but that certainly doesn’t hold true for all cats. Caroline, for instance, ate a large breakfast then went into labor a short time later.
I still think it’s entirely possible we’ll have kittens this weekend – and also entirely possible we won’t. We shall see!

Charlie loves to cram himself in the top of that little cat tree and nap. That boy cracks me UP.

Today’s belly footage. Definitely more movement! (I didn’t get a chance to add arrows, but if you watch the brown tabby area toward the top of the screen, you should see some movement!)

Who’s the Daddy?! We ask Mimosa to respond to the latest rumors, and she responds with a resounding “NO COMMENT,” thank you very much.
Mimosa does like a good scritchin’.

I answer the three most popular questions, and you get to watch Mimosa be cute. I call that win-win!
Good night innernets. (Mimosa)

Love Charlie’s tabby toe on his back foot! 🙂
His Magic Toe! 🙂
I think in the past you’ve also mentioned that the nipples changed towards delivery. I don’t want to look at a ladys nipples without her permission but do you have a sense if they’ve gotten larger or darker?
They’ve gotten larger, but they haven’t darkened yet, and aren’t filling with milk yet either.
Looking forward to the big announcement!
Haha: “I still think it’s entirely possible we’ll have kittens this weekend – and also entirely possible we won’t.”
Well, one thing that is certain is that you’re extremely wise (and funny to boot)!
🙂
Mimosa is a real beauty in her tabby cloak! I like how her white socks are “pulled over” her black tabby slippers, if that makes sense? We recently brought a classic gray tabby into our home, and one of the things we love about his coat is the black slippers tabby cats have!
So, am I the only one who JUST NOW REALIZED that 2-22-2022 lands on a TUESDAY? 😯
That would indeed be a cool birthday!
Someone pointed that out when I was complaining about 2-2-22 being a perfect date for kittens because it’s so easy to remember, but was too soon for Mimosa. 🙂
Five days from today. It could happen. On the 22nd, not the 2nd, obviously!
