Happy Valentine’s Day! Are you looking for love? Well, look no further! Featured in today’s blog are several of Forgotten Felines of Huntsville kitties who are available for adoption right now! (They’re all spayed or neutered and up to date on their vaccinations.) Will it be a love match? Scroll on through and see. Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
We are located in Huntsville, Alabama. Out of area adoptions are allowed, but adopters must come here to complete the adoption.
(Side note: None of these kitties are with me – they’re with another foster.)

Cheerio (floofy white and black) and Coco Puff (floofy brown tabby) are both boys, about 1 1/2 years old. They were found at less than a month old at different places and went into foster in July 2021. They were adopted in October of that year and returned a month later due to the family having bad allergies. They are sweet, loving boys, get along fine with dogs – the prior owner had 5 medium size dogs, and the cats played and slept with them. They’ve been together since they were 3 weeks old, so it would be wonderful if they could be adopted together. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.

Nessie (ticked brown tabby, F) is 3.5 years old. She has moderate/severe cerebellar hypoplasia aka wobbly kitty syndrome (see video of her below). She can eat, drink on her own and uses her kitty box on her own. She is very content to sit next to you while watching TV or in a sunny spot on the floor. She would be best as an only or would be ok with other cats that will ignore her. She is not particularly fond of other cats being close to her. She would probably be best in a quiet home (not sure about small children, as she hasn’t been exposed in her foster room). Her fosters do have a small old dog, but they rarely cross paths, so not sure about dogs either.
In her foster home, she has her own room, a small bathroom, but she does come out during the day to socialize and spend time with her foster parents. She sleeps in her room at night on a heating pad. She comes with her litter box, water fountain and food dishes. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire about Nessie.

Hedy Lamar (light brown tabby, F) is 6 months old. Hedy Lamar and her siblings were due to be TNR’d (Trapped-Neutered-Returned) but fell sick and by the time they were releasable they had become friendly. She is a sweet, sassy girl who loves to play and is always getting into mischief. (See the video below from when she was crated – she loved to chase her tail!) She loves to wrestle with her brother, Da Vinci, and also likes to chase the dog’s tail in her foster home. She definitely needs a home with other young cats or to be adopted with a sibling. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Da Vinci (brown tabby with bold spots and stripes, M) is 6 months old, and sibling to Hedy Lamar (above). He was one of the kittens trapped as part of the TNR effort, who fell sick and became friendly before they were releasable. You could say he’s as captivating as the Mona Lisa with those amazing spots and his cute round head. This handsome guy loves to play with his foster dog’s tail and with his siblings. He and his wild child sister Hedy Lamar are often seen wrestling together. He does need to be adopted with a sibling if you have no young cats at home for him to play with. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Einstein (dark brown tabby) is an 8 month old boy. He was trapped as part of the same TNR effort that caught Hedy Lamar and Da Vinci (they are probably related in some fashion – he may be an older brother to Hedy and Da Vinci.)
He is quite shy but does like scratches once he warms up. He is the hardest to photograph and does not like paparazzi. He is very sweet and like most kittens, loves to play. He would love to be adopted with one of his friends but at the very least needs another young cat in his foster home to play with. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Marie Curie (F) is a brown tabby with an orange smudge on her head. She’s one of the kittens who was trapped as part of the TNR effort that also caught Hedy, Da Vinci and Einstein (above.) She is very friendly and loves attention – she swishes her tail while asking to be petted. She also runs straight for the camera when she sees you trying to take her picture, so it’s not easy taking good pictures of this gorgeous girl. She’d love to be adopted with one of her sibling/friends, or needs another kitty to play with. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Edison (light brown tabby with orange tints, M) is brother to Einstein and Marie Curie, and one of the kittens caught up in the TNR effort. He’s a bit shy and reserved at first, but once he gets to know you, he’s friendly. He’d love to be adopted with one of his sibling/friends, or needs another kitty to play with. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.

Trisha Yearwood (brown tabby, F) is about 2 yrs old. She was found at a colony being TNR’d, and was rescued in the nick of time. She gave birth to 5 boys the same night she was trapped, shortly after moving into a foster home. Another kitten (Kane Brown) was found abandoned at the colony, and so she accepted him as an add-in. She has done a wonderful job raising all 6 boys. She is a low maintenance kitty, she is content to do her thing and doesn’t need a lot of attention. She doesn’t really like to be picked up but does like head and neck scratches. She will let you know when she wants love by rubbing against your leg. She could be an only but it would be great if she could be adopted with one of her kids, either Kane Brown or Darius Rucker (that’s Kane Brown in the lower right picture with her). Kenny Chesney and Walker Hayes are also hers. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kane Brown (black and white tuxie, M) is about 10 months old. He was the “add in baby” to Trisha Yearwood’s litter. He’s just 1 week older than her kittens, and he blended in beautifully. He has THE softest fur and is such a little sweetheart. Kane Brown has “Famous Friends” his mom Trisha and brothers Walker Hayes, Kenny Chesney, and Darius Rucker. He says you can “Do One Thing Right” and adopt him and a sibling – he LOVES to cuddle and play with them and must have a playmate in his future home. You will “Thank God ” for the fun these boys will bring to your home and they will “Never Leave You Alone”. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
Kenny Chesney (brown tabby and white, M) is about 10 months old. He is one of Trisha Yearwood’s kittens. He is a sweet little cuddle bug who likes to show off his spots and he’s always groovin’ when the sun goes down! He’ll let you hold him like a baby – he’s a very loving boy. He is a spry and playful little guy and needs to be adopted with another kitten if you have no young cats at home. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Walker Hayes (brown tabby and white, M) is about 10 months old. He is one of Trisha Yearwood’s kittens (and looks a LOT like his brother Kenny Chesney.) Walker is a smooth talker with his white cowboy boots. He loves to sleep in the baby scale, and is also probably the one responsible for the paper towel explosion (a charge he vehemently denies. He’d NEVER.) He loves to be petted but not held – he will keep you company while you’re watching TV. He’s looking for a home with one of his siblings if you have no other young cats at home. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Darius Rucker (black and white tuxie, M) is a momma’s boy (he’s one of Trisha Yearwood’s kittens). Darius has a stereo and the best of Patsy Cline and he’s ready for his forever home. This sweet boy loves to play – you can see the mischief in his eyes. He’ll not be taking any walks down to the river but he’d like to sing his way into your heart. He is the most independent of the boys, doesn’t like to be held, likes occasional pets. It would be great if he could be adopted with his brother Kane Brown. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
Hawk (buff tabby, M) is about 3 years old. He showed up at a house who happened to have a FF foster as a neighbor. He stopped by every night for several weeks, and was finally trapped. The plan was to TNR him, but after his vetting was completed, it was clear that this boy was a big lover. He would be a good only cat as long as he gets plenty of attention, he wants to be the alpha, but he is fine with the younger kittens in his foster home. He is a love bug who loves tummy rubs. He is a very sweet boy and doesn’t mind the dog, he just wants to be the boss. EMAIL Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
Cinnaspin and Francesca. Awwwww.
The past few days, at some point during the day I look over and see these three sleeping fairly close to each other. Sometimes Nacho joins them (and stays on the other side of the bed).
Linzer got so excited at breakfast time that she went to the wrong plate. (I usually move her over to the other plate, because she and Nacho still growl at each other.) Francesca’s not in this picture because when I open the foster room door in the morning, she rushes out and goes downstairs to make sure nothing changed overnight. Eventually she comes and eats, but it’s not really a priority for her.
Nacho and Cinnaspin sharing a plate, momentarily. (Same as with Linzer – Nacho and the little girls tend to hiss at each other. At this point it’s pretty halfhearted, but I think they all deserve a calm breakfast.)
I don’t know what Linzer was looking at, but it was apparently pretty amazing.
Lincoln in the top of the cat tree. (This is the first time I’ve seen either of them up there!)
I probably never mention this, but that Khal: magnificent, isn’t he?
Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Cinnaspin gives Uncle Newt a hand with cleaning his plate, while Linzer snoopervises.
Lilly (left) and Lincoln are really enjoying that hammock. And I am really enjoying not having to dig them out from behind the toilet to pet them!
YouTube link
Poor Francesca – she’s just minding her own business, hanging out in her basket, and Linzer gets too close, then has the NERVE to hiss at her. Francesca’s like “What’d *I* do?!”
Nacho’s keepin’ the beans clean.
YouTube link
A week after they were first introduced, Francesca and Cinnaspin are deciding that they can become… maybe not FRIENDS, but certainly friendly acquaintances. Close enough to play a sleepy game of slappy paws, anyway. (Linzer: still growly.)
3 little posers – Linzer on the seat of the couch, and Nacho (left) and Francesca on the back of the couch.
Good night innernets. (Cinnaspin & Linzer)
