Just a reminder that the Forgotten Felines of Huntsville online auction is going on through this week – and there’s some really cool stuff including…
This adorable kitty crocheted by Rosie.
There’s some really cool stuff – cat stuff, stuff for cats, kitchen stuff, cat toys, even a bunch of non-cat-related items. Something for everyone! Go check it out over on Facebook.

Mimosa’s sweet little face and those big beautiful eyes just kill me.
“Lady, are you aware that there are birds out there?” she inquires.
I love it when she flops onto her back.
“Kids! Keep it DOWN in there!”
So since today is Valentine’s Day (Happy Valentine’s Day!), I think it’s safe to say that there will not be kittens today – not that we really expected them. I still predict the window of February 19 – 28. I FINALLY saw some kitten movement yesterday, more than once. She is eating like crazy, doing a lot of sleeping, and I spotted her checking out one of the crates over the weekend (AND it was even the crate that I’d prefer she use)(which probably means she won’t use that one, right?) We’re not there yet, but we’re getting closer!

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) over the weekend.
“Breakfast time is NOW, lady,” Mimosa informs me.
Mimosa was checking out the back yard and then heard a noise outside the door and got very suspicious (it was just Archie, wandering by on his way to the stairs.)

Here comes the belly!
Good night innernets. (Mimosa)
“How YOU doin’?” inquires Mimosa.
I swear Mimosa likes the tags more than she likes the rat toy itself.

The view from above (this angle makes Mimosa’s tail look a mile long.)
Mimosa likes to stand on top of the scratcher and watch the birds in the front yard.

Mimosa and the belly rub. I love that she’s allowing the belly rubs – some pregnant cats want NOTHIN’ to do with belly rubs, but Mimosa is always like “Yes, please!”
“Watching you, lady. Watching. YOU.” (Mimosa)

I KNOW you are not changing your naming theme (and I would never ask you to!) but if it were me, I’d be tempted to name them after candy bars bc she has such magnificent caramel colorings and since it is Valentine’s Day today I would stretch that treat theme. Baby kitties are a treat whenever you get them!
Caramel, Heath, Reese, Skittle, Twizzler (Mallow for an all-white one) and call them the Musketeers.
There’s already been a Musketeers litter (Charlie came from that litter), but I loves me the naming theme. Maybe the Sweetlings?
Cute!
The crocheted rescue kitty looks sooo much like our one-eyed girl Olive! Olive was my maternal grandmother’s name and the crocheted kitty’s name is Hazel, which was the name of one of great aunts. What a funny coincidence!
Oh, “Kids! Keep it DOWN in there!” My favorite pose yet.
Hi Robyn, Thanks for the feed back on the litter. And to all the others that gave suggestions. I’ve got a little research to do. I’ll let you know when I find the perfect one. Nick
I’m thinking Mimosa is going to pull a Canasta on you, kitten-wise. Just putting that out. She knows she has the good life, so let those kitties bake.
