Huey’s all “Whatcha doin’, lady?”
Huey and Dewey in the little cat tree; Louie in the duck bed! (That’s the second time I’ve seen him in it. That makes the bed a RAGING success!)
Louie on the little bed, Dewey on the round scratcher. Where’s Huey? Ya got me. (Probably on the cat tree across the room.)

That’s Crouton with her face toward the camera. And at the milk bar, Pumpernickel.
Crumpet lets me know it’s time for her scritchins.
Crumpet rejoins her babies while making sure she’s position so that I can keep petting her.
She’s all “What? There’s plenty of room!”

Newt and Khal, hanging out in their favorite place.

I mean, seriously. Have you ever seen anything so ridiculous as this little goober? (Dewey)
Former foster update! Here are Rhus (formerly Rochefort) and Oleander (formerly Constance), from the 2020 Mewsketeers litter.
Cat says: here in muffinland things have been hectic for a while. so havnt got around to an update in abit. but this mounth we are slowing down, having muffin teapartys (thats diluted tunawater for them), and lots of toytossing sessions.
the muffins have develuped afew new hobbies this year.
Oleander has taken to trying to use my parents door as an upright treadmill, and Rhus, seeing her inginity has tryed it on the spair room door, but it must not be as good. because he stops quickly.
Rhusy has started a new hobby of dailyyoddle in the kitchen, he dousnt want anything. hes just singing and ocasinly putting his feets in teh water bowl. its a new age sound i think, some yoddle, the clink of the bowl, the ocasinal swish of water, and then maby a jingle thrown into the mix. he seems to still be experimenting with his sound. but im confidant he will find his flow soon enough.
meanwhile OllieLolly has been perfecting the are of Worm. worm is a fuzzy pink thing given to muffins by a freind. and we NEVER see loly take it upstairs. it just apears there. and then she ocasianly runs down the steps with it so fast we can hardly see her. then screams. it is an performance artpeace and we suport her work with enthusiasm.
Ollielolly helped get the Cheifs to the superbowl , as evrytime i walked in with her things happend good for the team. so meemeow startiing asking us to come back in. and in the end her team won. Rhusy contributed by laying on his meemeows chiefs blanket .
Oleander helped her pawpaw mount a new tv last week. she stood on his knee and told him that he put it to high. he did not listen to lolly. the tv is still to high. but lolly tryed to fix it herself by unpluginging it.
Rhusy contributed by laying on top of pawpaws tools and establishing the BellyRubTax for toolsue.
so as you can see, the muffins have been taking their muffinjobs very seriusly. and continue their ruteens of reading wiht mama and begging evryone in the house for treats.
muffins send thier loves!
(Thanks, Cat!)❤️

Dewey’s using the mirrors to keep an eye on me. (Or he’s trying to figure out how there is a weird lady in the room with him AND all those weird ladies in the mirror, too.)
Crouton is a perfect little handful.

Kittens at the milk bar, and mama purring. That about covers it!
Good night innernets. (That’s Ciabatta directly under Crumpet’s chin. He loves his mama.)
That cube is certainly getting smaller. I know that Crumpet KNOWS the red crate (which is like 1 foot to the left) exists. I’ve seen her in it! But I guess the time isn’t quite right just yet.
She’s been less amiable in the last day or so about me trying to take the kittens out of the cube to weigh them (and to touch them at all, really). She doesn’t mind me sitting and watching them, and likes to come out and be petted, but prefers me to keep my hands to myself. So I shall (like I said, she’s in charge). Hopefully as they get older (and she gets spayed) she’ll relax a bit.

First Crumpet takes a break and then she returns to the cube. I try to name each of the kittens, but ultimately took a screenshot and labeled everyone (because I’m so helpful).
(For the record, if this is your first time here, there is a much larger crate to the left that I think the little family would be comfier in, but I’m letting mama make that decision in her own time. When she wants them there, she’ll move them.)

Dewey LOVES that track toy (actually, Dewey appears to love ALL track toys). And Huey and Louie are having one heck of a fight (Huey started it; Louie’s gonna end it.)
Good night innernets. (Huey & Dewey)
Dewey is all “Gooood morning, good-lookin’!”
We have the tiniest peek of an eyeball on Pita! (Mama was busy pottying one of the other kittens, so I snuck her out for a quick picture.)
Kittens’ eyes usually open when they’re 7 – 10 days old; some open sooner, some later. Pita is obviously a prodigy. Their eyes start changing color around 4 – 5 weeks (again: some sooner, some later.)
(Kittens are also born unable to hear. They gain their hearing slowly, and generally around 3 weeks old they can hear pretty well.)

Huey, Dewey and Louie have had their breakfast and their brushings, now it’s time for BOOPs and bunny-kickin’. It’s a very busy life, but they handle it well.
Louie, trying to decide whether he wants to snuggle with Dewey and Huey, or go off on his own. (He ultimately ended up snuggled on the couch with me!)

Those orange fluffy babies are just ridiculously cute! Are any two of them especially bonded? I’m wondering if any of them might get adopted together. I hope we’ll be able to follow them to see their glorious adult versions!
Those Ducklings are …well there are no words to describe how cute they are. That word hasn’t been invented yet.
Perhaps that duck bed needs to be adopted out with that one Duckling!
I love the idea of a kitty tea party. That was so cute!
Love how Cat’s keeping us updated on the world-domination plans in her house, feel like the Superbowl victory is the first domino in their plan.
