A lot of people suggested the name “The Rosebuds” as a litter name for Moira Rose and her future kittens. It works, it’s easy to type, and I like it. So The Rosebuds they are and will be! (And you can certainly know that every time I type “Rosebuds”, a little voice in my mind will be whispering “Schitt-heads.”)
Moira is doing well – a little nervous after we moved her from the guest bedroom to the foster room, but mostly enjoying the space and all the new toys. For some reason I didn’t think to put a track toy in the guest bedroom with her, and it turns out she is a FAN of the track toy.
I love how perfectly her face is framed in that mirror.
It looks like she’s doing a little dance here, but her claw was caught in the sheet. She needs to have her claws trimmed, which we’ll do soon.
I know she looks HUGE to y’all, but trust me when I say we’ve got a while to go. (OR DO WE? Like I ever have a clue, really.)

Now that the kittens have vamoosed, Dewey is happy to have his squirrel-watchin’ bed back.

And though I will call them the Rosebuds when speaking of them, in my head and in my heart, they will always be Schitt-heads.
Of course! 🙂
Moira is REALLY cute, can’t wait to see what sort of babies she is making 🙂
Moira is absolutely beautiful! And the picture with her face in the mirror is perfect!
Moira is so beautiful. And YAY! on choosing the Rosebuds. That’s for when they’re good. I’m sure each bebe will have his/her Schitthead moment along the way to adoption.
First, yaaaaaay adopted kittoons! 😀 Whoever adopted Pretzel/Peanut and Fritter is going to have a life full of talkative purry snuggles!
Second, hi Moira Rose! 😀 Judging by the comparisons to recently-adopted teenies, the new gal is a tabby? A torbie? Brown tabby with torbie-ish hints? A dark swirly tortie? I expect I’d have seen a squee or four if that last were the case… Ahem. XD Now I’m curious! What color(s) is she?
Regarding litter names, now all I can hear is the chorus from that one song that goes “I know you like to think your [bleep] don’t stink, but lean a little bit closer see roses really smell like–” I think the last word is “Oooooh ooh ooh!” but we always sang it “Poo-oo-oo!” So Rosebuds/Schitt-Heads kinda works.
She’s a tiny brown tabby who is approximately 90% great big green eyes. She bears a strong resemblance to Dennis, with her big eyes and beautiful, bold stripes.
OMC yes I was thinking that she resembles Dennis!! But weren’t his eyes more piercing? He had the most beautiful eyes -almost turquoise green in some pictures! I need a better look at Moira’s eyes.
Has Moira met the permanent residents? I’m curious. Also, I still can’t get over the fact that she’s so pretty.
She’s met Charlie (she thinks he’s fabulous – trills and follows him around. He ignores her and eats her food. Typical Charlie.) She won’t meet the rest of the permanent residents at this point, since she’s confined to the kitten room.
Momma Rosebuds, is small and dainty looking. I think she’s going to be baking those babies for awhile. We’ll have to be patient this time.
