I heard from Dingwall Scotty’s mama! She said:
My husband and I adopted Dingwall from Petsmart a little before Christmas. I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know how well he’s doing. It took a day or so for my other cats (we have a gray cat we adopted from Challenger’s House named Smokey and a black one we adopted from another cat place named Apollo) to figure out they’ll get along but they’ve all adjusted and are doing great. Dingwall and Apollo are constantly fighting for lap space though and usually Apollo just gives up and lays on Dingwall like he did in the picture. If you’d like I’ll keep you posted on Dingwall and how he does from here on out. I just wanted to let you know he’s doing well and we’re enjoying our new kitty. Have a happy holidays.
Awww, how sweet is that! And are we surprised that Dingwall made himself at home in no time flat? I think that doesn’t surprise us at all. I will, of course, share any pictures I get from Chelsea in the future!
This is Barney’s favorite place to hang out when he’s not jumping up after that feather teaser or laying in my lap.
Clearly I adore taking pictures of kittens from above.
Someone might have been waving that feather teaser in the air to get them to look up.
Bitsy’s got her eye on the prize.
And of course Barney runs in to grab that teaser. Silly boy.
Mr. Stripey, atop the bookcase in the front room. It’s almost like a commercial for the sherpa blanket from Kohl’s, with that tag sticking out there.
Whatcha lookin’ at, Stripey boy?
Ah, keeping an eye on Sungold! That bed is popular lately – there’s a heated bed under that bed liner.
Both the ‘Maters boys get really excited when you talk to them, and tend to start rolling around. I had to stop talking to Stripey, I was afraid he’d roll right off the top of the bookcase.
More Permanent Resident goodness – today, Newt!
“I totally fit in this basket.”
“I totally think this picture is going in 2014’s calendar.” He’s probably right!

I loves me some Newt; he’s a very handsome boy!
I think Barney is going to give Corbie a run for his “most beautiful” status!
We all love watching your pictures here, they are always so beautiful!
Purrs to all!
So happy to hear that Dingwall is settling in at his new home. Kitty pics from above show off their faces so beautifully. Thank you for all the work you do for the kitties.
How lucky you are to get pictures and updates of your babies that have gone to permanent homes. Nice to see Dingwall all comfy and loved. The picture of Barney on the blue blanket really shows his beautiful markings..love him. Ok, off to clear the snow off our deck 5″ overnight.
Dear Chelsea,
Please keep Robyn updated about Dingwall Scotty’s enviable life! That way we can stay updated as well!
Thank you,
Robyn’s Fans
Newtles! Pretty pretty sweet looking boy!
Update on the Jack situation: as far as I can tell we’ve made it a week with no more inappropriate peeing incidents. We’ve got the Feliway plug in, and he got lots of attention over the holidays. I hope that now that I’m back at work it doesn’t set him back off. I took lots of pictures of him so that he would know he was loved and told him over and over how special he is. Also, the kid got a super soft new “tv” blanket from Gran that Jack seems to love so we’ll see how that goes. Maybe that will make him happier during the day while we’re gone. Of course, if he pees on it – all bets are off… π
Hope all who celebrate Christmas had a fabulous wonderful one!
Good to hear Sherry – please continue to keep us updated!
Thanks for the update, Sherry – hopefully things continue to go well. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you. π
Newt totally fits into anything that Newt says he fits into. So there.
Dingwallace looks so happy in the land of black lap cats. Happy life to my favorite Dingaling ever. π
I am constantly amazed by the variety and beauty of nature’s paintbrush when it comes to all cats, but even more impressed by the variety of black cats. They do NOT all look alike. Kudos to Dingwall’s new human for giving a forever home to black kitties.
Newt is certainly a very handsome fellow. He could rate a whole calendar all to himself. Glad Dingwall is settling into his new home ok. He deserves it, as they all do.
Hope you came through the storms ok down there. Certainly not a nice Christmas holiday for some folks.
I would totally buy a Newt-centric calendar.
I love Dingwall and his brother’s collars.
a wonderful bunch of photos today Robyn..
Beautiful updates and pictures today. Thanks Robyn and Newt!
I love all the kitties. But I do get a bit goofy where Newt is involved — an involuntary, high-pitched “NEWT!” comes out of my mouth whenever you post a Newt entry…I WUV DA NEWTLES!
Yeah for Dingwall!!! We love adoption updates….
I’m glad to hear Dingwall is doing fine in his forever home! And the last picture of Newt? One of your best. Ever..
Of course, I love ALL the pictures of your cats! π
I saw on the news there were storms headed your way. Hope you guys are ok! (P.S. I’m sick of snow ALREADY!)
I love you, Newt. That is all.
(He reminds me soooo much of my baby Malcolm!)
Oh wow, how great to see a picture of our dear Dingwallace all settled in. Yay for happy updates!!!!!
How can Scotty be even more kissable? So glad he’s got an obviously adorable, loving forever home.
Dingwall is wearing a snowman collar! β₯
Awwww, happy Dingwallace all snuggled in a lap – that’s what we like to see! It is amazing when you see 2 black kitties together, that he’s a totally different more brownish-black than his new brudder’s grey-black. I think Newties thinks he’s a smaller kitty than he really is. The last picture of him is so sweet!
Yay for Dingwall! The tabby babies are adorable and Newt is so handsome!
