Yesterday, the kittens got a stocking full of toys, and one of the new Toastycat beds.
They found the bed intriguing.
And the toys were a hit, of course.
Ouiser gave me the judgey eyes.
Shelby gave the bed the ol’ snifferoo.
Ouiser accepted my sparkleball offering.
Shelby fought with one of the rugs (because of course she did.)
Then he checked out the bed (I love the way it looks like his tail is coming straight out of the top of his head.)
And later, Ouiser gave it a try and declared it comfy.
After a busy and slightly crazy weekend, it was nice to spend yesterday just hanging out with the kittens and doing nothing at all. (Was there a nap with kittens? Friends, there were TWO.)

Oh nooo, cat (Charlie) on the table (that we never use)! Newt, on the floor, is all “You shouldn’t be allowing cats on the table. It ain’t right!” Oh well, whatcha gonna do?

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Merry Churu – er, I mean CHRISTMAS, from M’Lynn (picture taken before she went home, obviously.)
(M’Lynn – now Sakana – is doing great, and I will post an update tomorrow!)
When one has a tiny sweater and a tiny kitten, you know this is going to happen sooner or later, right? Shelby’s happy. SHE IS. Merry Christmas!
(The “sweater” was a wine bottle sweater from Aldi and the perfect size for kittens, obviously.)
I was trying my best to get everyone to look at me, but they were… not. Except for Shelby. Her FACE.
Merry Christmas! (Picture obviously taken before M’Lynn went home. From left: M’Lynn, Drum, Ouiser, Clairee and Shelby.)
Drum’s all “You got Churu out there?” Merry Christmas!
I could NOT get Clairee to peek THROUGH the wreath, but I could get her to curl up IN the wreath, so here ya go. Merry Christmas!
Drum was having the BEST time rolling around in that pile of ribbon. Merry Christmas!
Ouiser’s the perfect little poser. Merry Christmas!
I tried to wrap this lighted ribbon around Shelby and failed miserably. Then I dumped the ribbon in a pile, wandered off to do something, and when I returned this little face was looking at me. Merry Christmas!
Good night innernets, and thank you for letting me flood your timelines with just a fraction of my favorite Christmas-kitty pictures. Merry Christmas from Love & Hisses, and from Shelby, Ouiser, Clairee and Drum, who drove me crazy by not centering themselves under the garlands LIKE I WANTED THEM TO. (I love ’em anyway.)

That toasty bed, would it be large enough for A small mature cat? She might weigh 8 lbs. love all the Christmas pictures.
Great Christmas pics! Merry Christmas to you and Happy New Year Robyn (+Fred).
I always check the blog either when I get to work or on my lunch hour. Over the holidays, since I wasn’t at work, I got behind, so am just now catching up. I have to say that the look on Shelby’s face when she has the sweater on is priceless — she’s adorable, but you can tell she’s like “what the heck is a sweater, and why do I need to wear one over my fur coat???” 😉 Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Fred and all the kitties, both perm and foster!
