I love to watch the squirrels out the side window, especially when they’re going after this particular bird feeder.
Do you see the squirrel tongue action going on here? Let’s see a closeup.
“Oh, sweet bird seed, you make my heart sing. You warm the cockles of my heart and delight my tongue, I LOVE YOU SO.”
“Can I come in and play?”
“I’m sorry, there’s no room for you in Cat Cottage. Check back tomorrow.”
“But you’re the only one in there, and there are like three other floors!”
“Right. No room. See ya!”
Tig would like you to know that manly mancats don’t mind playing with pink toys.
Three little tuxies, all in a row.
Chuckles loves himself some Elwood.
It must feel like curling up with a huge water bottle!
Newtles is the king of chillaxin’.
It’s a rough life, is what it is.
“After all that yawning, I need another nap.”

2010: I love the alarmed look on Bobby’s face, like “I feel a paw on my shoulder, but NO ONE ELSE IS SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE HOUSE RIGHT NOW!”
2009: I’m starting to think that maybe the floof is in the Kudzu family and we’ll wake up one morning to find it wrapped around the entire house.

2007: No entry.
2006: I said, “But (the volunteer) has fourteen cats. FOURTEEN.”

My husband is always saying he wants to hang things in more and more awkward places to see if the squirrels can reach them.
I love your kitty pictures, but the squirrel pictures today are really amazing!
Everyone I know always seems to hate squirrels but I find them adorable and fascinating! (Fadorable? Ascinating? That doesn’t sound good.) LOVE the squirrel tongue photo!
Of course the kitty photos have all made me all happy inside for the day. Patty is so beautiful. Life looks gloriously relaxing at Crooked Acres.
Also, got the Christmas card, thank you! Awesome!
Love the Tuxie Train!! I want to come play at Crooked Acres, too! But alas, it appears that the Cat Cottage is booked solid for the holidays…
The squirrels are very very crafty when it comes to stealing bird food. My cousin sits on her porch with a paint ball gun to try and keep the squirrels away from her bird feeders. I think she misses more than makes her shot — the bark of the tree is all multi-colored!
I love how Elwood doesn’t quite fit in that basket and yet he’s got a basket buddy to snuggle! Squooshed up kitties!
Squirrels are amazing, they’ll do anything for a snack.. hmm, almost like cats!
I betcha Elwood is a lot better than a water bottle – not only is he warm, but he’s soft, fluffy and purr-y!!
🙂
I love all your photos, Robyn, including the squirrel tongue action one. That is one lucky squirrel to have escaped Newt, Maxie, Kara and all the other predators in your yard!
Also, I received the postcard and love it. You are very creative!
Happy Holidays!!
