I’ve been scanning in the cards I’ve received, and finally got caught up. Y’all send some awesome cards! If you’d like to see them, you can look at the album here on Flickr, or scroll through them below.
THANK YOU for all the great cards and sweet notes – I love them so much! (I know there are more on the way; I’ll scan them as I get them!)

A visit from Uncle Charlie.
Uncle Charlie said “Hello little kitten,” and Ouiser said “NO THANK YOU.”
That ridge along Ouiser’s back is pretty impressive!
Shelby said “I’m not sure what happened here.”
Clairee sat in the hallway for a long time, growling at… nothing at all (and then at her brother), then brought her attitude into the room.
Shelby went up to Uncle Charlie with her tail held high, but sometime in the sniffing-noses section of their meeting, Shelby decided she wasn’t SURE she wanted to be friends after all.
Clairee said “I have enough friends, THANK YOU.”
Ouiser sat and stared at Uncle Charlie…
And Ouiser said “I reiterate my ‘no thank you,’ thank you.”
“Hey wait a minute, what’s he doing at OUR food bowl?!”
Shelby, who apparently forgot that she’d already met Uncle Charlie, went stomping over with her tail held high and said “Howdy, stranger!”
Charlie sniffed her just a little too hard, and Shelby fell over and gave him a baleful look.
Charlie went to check the food plate, and Shelby said “Oh hi, have we met?!” (Are we sure Shelby isn’t an orange tabby in disguise?)
I think Charlie’s visit went well – it only last a few minutes (and if you scroll down to the “shared on social media” section, there’s a video). He’s good with hissy little kittens, so at this point he’s welcome to come up and hang out whenever he wants, though he hasn’t shown any interest in making another visit.
Once the Christmas tree is down (late next week), the kittens will be allowed the run of the entire house during the day. They’ll get to meet the other three permanent residents, and I expect there’ll be floof suits and hisses galore!

This picture of Khal cracks me up – it looks like we took a pile of floof, stuck a head on top and a couple of feet on the bottom, and called it good.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Drum is so busy giving me attitude that he has no idea the ol’ chomperoo is coming his way, courtesy of Clairee.
Ouiser has taken flight! (And yes, she stuck the landing!)

Clairee and Shelby have the hippity hops. I love it when kittens hop while they’re playing, it is just so utterly adorable.
Shelby thinks this green bean toy is just what her diet needs.

The kittens met Uncle Charlie and they were NOT impressed! (I think Charlie’s visit lasted about 5 minutes; he’s more interested in their toys and their food than the kittens themselves.) I am pretty sure Shelby wanted to be friends (at least, at first); Clairee did NOT want anything to do with any strange cats (that’s her at the end, hissing and growling at her brother), Ouiser was the one at the beginning all super-floofed, and Drum wasn’t sure what was going on! There’ll be more visits in the future, and they’ll realize he’s not so skeery.
(Once all the Christmas decorations are put away late next week, they’ll get to go downstairs and meet the other permanent residents.)
Clairee says “Paws UP, y’all!”
Good night innernets. (Drum, and a little bit of Shelby)

So much goodness in a single post (as always!). But the (Are we sure Shelby isn’t an orange tabby in disguise?) had me bursting out in laughter and the watermark on Shelby’s green bean is *chef’s kiss*.
Khal as the fluffy bed pillow gave me an extended laugh! It is rare to see Khal as less than dignified and magnificent.
Oh, the photo of Khal, shaped like a Christmas tree and with such a patient expression, I love it!
Khal is indeed a pile of floof. I have one at home just like him.
Khal is so intrinsically splendid that that is clearly his gradpa
Great great picture
Your current fosters inspired me to send the card I did, despite not having a Truvy among them.
OMG! Such a great post. Khal’s picture made me burst out laughing. I would caption it: “Photograph me like one of your French models” Bahahaha!
Uncle Charlie needs a Santa hat and cat sweater! He’s such a chill dude. ‘Just here for a snack and a howdy little kittens’.
Did you see the NASA cat named Taters in the news/youtube? Video of him chasing a laser light was sent (via laser, of course) from 19 million miles away in deep space – a science first. Although Taters looks more like Drum than Norland or Russet or Kennebec or Stompers, I like imagining his name was given by a Love and Hisses fan.
I have not seen that, I’ll have to hunt it down!
