He loves that bed so much I’m thinking it may need to go home with him.
“This bed ain’t going nowhere, lady.”
Yesterday afternoon I was laying on Fred’s bed scrolling through my Facebook feed on my phone while Dustin ignored me (he seems to go through stages where he thinks I’m okay, and then he rethinks that and decides I’m the devil and to be avoided at all costs). I heard the rattle of the hook on the screen door at the bottom of the stairs as Fred let one of the cats through. Stefan and Archie like to come upstairs, eat out of the food bowl in the bathroom, and hang out in the bathroom. Dustin, who was laying in the pagoda in the hallway perked up, chirped and hit the floor to run to the stairs and see who was coming. Then he followed Stefan into the bathroom, watched him eat, and then goaded him into playing a little. It was seriously cute.
I’d say Dustin is a cat’s cat.

“I can hear that man moving around out there, lady. Why he not coming into the room?”
Oh, that FACE. She is such a sweetheart.
To help Willa’s scabby skin (due, I think, to the fleas she had when we got her) heal, we’ve been giving her fish oil a couple of times a day. Fred was giving it to her via syringe, but started sprinkling a small amount of Babycat on a plate and putting the oil over it. She likes that quite a bit.
So in four weeks (well, three now) when I point to the fact that she’s gained weight as proof that she might be pregnant, y’all remind me that it’s entirely possible there’s another reason, would you?

Who could Alice possibly be gazing at with such love and devotion? Who, oh who, could it be?

That Willa is sure one gorgeous cat 🙂
And thank you for the lovely Christmas postcard that arrived yesterday! I was wondering who would be on it. 🙂
You are very welcome! 😉
OMG – the cookie story from 2009…..I stopped the other night to pick up a foster kitten after surgery and the receptionist asked who I was there for – and my mind went BLANK! Thankfully her sheet was the one on top and I could point when I saw my signature. sheesh 🙂
About three weeks after the Greasers went off to Petsmart, I was talking to another foster mom – the one I got them from, actually – and she asked if I could guess which of them had been her favorite. And I LITERALLY could not remember a single name. I could see all their faces in my head, but names? Nope!
Now I’m curious… which one was the favorite?
Sodapop! While they were with her, they were in a big cage. And she’d open the cage and put them up on the shelf so she could scoop and sweep out the cage. They’d all cringe away from her, until the day Sodapop decided he’d had enough of her, and he leaned forward and popped her on the head.
It’s always the good-lookin’ bad boys you’ve gotta look out for. 🙂
I’m sure there will be a few raised eyebrows at the idea of sending a boy cat home with a pink bed 🙂
(mine would not be one of them)
😉
Alice Mo sure does love her Daddy!
She really does!!
