Ouiser likes to gaze into the mirror and see what she sees.
And then she likes to move across the room and keep an eye on me.
Now that Shelby can get up on top of the tall cat tree (and then onto the windowsill), that’s where she can usually be found.
The smallest (Shelby) kitten and the largest (Drum). And in the background, Ouiser watching us all.
Shelby’s all “I sees you, lady.”
So the door to the rest of the upstairs has been open for a day and a half, and the kittens are still spending a majority of their time in the foster room. They’ll come out, scurry around, peek at things, but then run back into their room.
M’Lynn, however. M’Lynn LOVES having more room to roam, and the fact that the kittens are sticking pretty close to the foster room? She has zero complaints. Yesterday afternoon she flopped down next to me, and she snoozed the afternoon away – and she didn’t stop purring for one single second. The kitten-free life is where it’s at!

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Snoozing in the sun is a good way to pass the morning. (Clairee)
(1) Shelby now weighs TWO POUNDS. (907 g) She’s still a bit small for her age, but she’s no longer skin and bones and that is WONDERFUL.
(2) She made it to the top of the cat tree! Go, Shelby!

Shelby shows off her fabulous skitterbug skills (and Drum is not impressed).
Awww, it’s Drum Da BAYbee pie! (My favorite!)

Drum and Clairee are lapkittens, and Ouiser and Shelby are tussle-kittens. (Yes, the video ended so I could go save Shelby, but Ouiser was NOT hurting her, and I need to stop “saving” her, or she’ll end up to be a total terror. She’s not a tiny fragile baby anymore.)
Drum and Ouiser are facing in opposite directions, but they’re both keeping an eye on me. Nice use of the mirror, Ouiser!
Good night innernets. (Except for Drum, none of these kittens look at all sleepy.)

Haha love that Shelby is growing so well, can scale the cat tree, and also has her own personal human bodyguard to rescue her from any fight that doesn’t look like it’s going her way lol!
Shelby’s no dummy. She knows I still think of her as that tiny, fragile little babykitten, and she just has to pretend she’s being bullied and I’ll come save her! I’m a sucker. 🙂
I love to see all these kittens 🙂 they are so cute!
And thank you, Robyn, for the christmas postcard. It is quite fabulous 🙂
I’m so glad you got it! 🙂
