Who is behind Jake being all up in his stuff?
That’s Reacher (which I know because I can see his silver-gray tabby legs and white feet). There’s nothing the Bookworms enjoy so much as sniffing butt. Well, except for Rhyme who appears to have an earwax fetish, judging by the way I woke up this morning.

The boys did well with their neutering yesterday. I picked them up in the evening, and they spent about half the drive home biting at the door to the carrier trying to get out, and the other half snoozing. When we got home, I let them out of the carrier in the foster room, they ate, and then they raced around like their tails were on fire.
It amazes me how the boys never seem to realize anything’s even been done to them. The girls tend to be a little groggy, but the boys? Nope. Let’s play! Let’s snuggle! Let’s eat!

Oh I’m glad to hear that there are other kitties out there with ear wax fetishes. My grumpy grey, Oscar, LOVES earwax. He’ll bite my hand to get ahold of a q-tip!

my cat didn’t seem to care that she had been spayed. she licked at her stitches and obviously knew something had happened, but she was bright-eyed and alert and moving around and eating right away, even though the vet warned us that she might be groggy for a while.
It is a much more invasive surgury for girls than it is for boys. Just like in the human world.

I’m hoping to foster kittens again in my summer holiday (as a teacher, I get a nice long holiday to fill up with kittenage) and I keep sort of wistfully hoping that my younger cat Teddy will be Good With Kids the way Jake and Charlene are. I’m afraid she won’t be, though, any more than my older cat Pearl is!
