For this month’s Chewy.com review, I chose the Tiki cat food and received the Tiki Cat Queen Emma Luau Variety Pack.
This is what the kitchen looks like first thing in the morning while the cats are waiting for me to get my butt in gear and FEED them.
Miz Poo (lower right corner) isn’t interested in snackin’ time, but she likes to snoopervise.
On this day, I opted to give the Puka Puka Luau (chicken in chicken consomme) and the Napili Luau (wild salmon and chicken) a try. I usually split three 3-oz cans between nine plates, but since these cans are a tiny bit smaller, I went with four cans.
Every morning while he waits for his snack, Jake walks around and tries to mind meld with the other cats. Stefan’s the only one who will just stand there and let him do it (the other cats get impatient with his shenanigans.)
After the snacks were disbursed.
Alice (who has her snack on the table in the dining room, because other cats make her nervous) approved.
Stinkerbelle (atop the pantry, because she doesn’t eat with the peasants) approved, and shot glares at anyone who dared to think about coming too close.
Sugarbutt takes a break from his snack to eyeball the cans (he prefers to lick the remnants of food from cans rather than actually eat off a plate.)
Having finished her own snack, Stinkerbelle always comes over to the counter to bat cleanup on Sugarbutt’s snack, whilst sticking her butt in Tommy’s face.
Suffice it to say that these two flavors were a hit, and although I didn’t get pictures of when I doled out the rest of the Tiki Cat food for other snackin’ times, none of the cats turned up their noses at any of the flavors, which is a true miracle.
The food for this post was provided free of charge by the awesome Chewy, if you couldn’t already tell, and all the opinions are mine. Or I guess I should say that the opinions are the cats’, as interpreted by me!
Thanks for the opportunity to review Tiki Cat food, Chewy. You rock!

Happy kitties! Are they quiet wait-ers or do you get deafened by the snackin’ time howling? If I had more than one like my Angus cat, my ears would be bleeding and I’d have bruised shins from all the head butting as they attempt to herd me back to where the bowls are despite seeing me get food out of cabinets on the other side of the kitchen for about 3 years now… Elsie cat just sits quietly near the bowls and just waits, but Angus sees snackin’ as a full contact sport.
They’re pretty quiet, actually, although sometimes Corbie will be overwhelmed with the waiting (because obviously I don’t move nearly fast enough) and will start howling. Jake walks around and rubs against any cat who’ll put up with it. Sugarbutt and Tommy actually just lay down and wait. I should do a video of it one of these days. 🙂
I would love to be there at snacking time, not for the snacks of course, but I love seeing happy kitties dancing around waiting for treats !!! Next time you will have to get Fred to video tape it !!!!!!
Yay! Thanks for the Sunday update.
I love all their little placemats! And I think you and I have the same snackin’ time bowls! From Walmart?
My girls get snackin’ time when I get home from work, and are always confused on days when I don’t leave the house at all (like today). Early this afternoon, I was putting together stew in the crockpot, and they were both pretty sure it must be snacking’ time! It’s funny how any time I open cans (like tomatoes), they think it’s cat food, even though their food comes in little pop-top containers and don’t need the can opener.
okay, do you seriously put down placemats for the cat’s snack time?? I was impressed they all got their own plate, but their own placemat too.. that is impressive..
