I put this (empty) bucket down and turned to do something, and just that quickly, Sungold had settled in.
Mr. Stripey was all “Hey! Move over! There’s plenty of room in there for both of us!”
“Just…a little…more…room…”
“I don’t believe this works for me, thanks.”
I’m pretty sure it was Mr. Stripey’s plan to have that bucket to himself all along. He’s an evil genius!
Sungold stomped off to the cat tree to pout.
As an aside, that cat tree is the same cat tree that used to be in the guest bedroom downstairs, which the ‘Maters climbed all over as kittens. That doesn’t mean they remember it… but they might! They certainly love to climb all over it and hang out on the platforms.
Sometimes, in the back yard, Sheriff Kara starts running around like her butt is on fire. And sometimes Newt gets all excited and chases her.
Then she gets tired of the game and runs inside to hang out on the dryer, and Newt pouts because he thought they were havin’ FUN.

Miz Poo is a secret kitten lover. You don’t know, but she is silently purring in all those shots! As for being chased by a big ol’ mancat 1.53 times your size? Yeah, I’d run inside also!
The boys need more buckets! Shouldn’t be too difficult to find another litter bucket around there. Of course, if you put a line of buckets side-by-side they would all want the same one anyway.

Fred hasn’t snuck off to Petsmart… yet! There are adoption hours tonight, I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed! 🙂

No, they were just hanging out. There was no litter in the bucket, it was empty. 🙂

And Dande is gorgeous and I love Purselane and Joe Pickle is the man. I told myself not to get attached to the kitties anymore, but they keep stealing my heart. I have no idea how you do it but God bless you miss robyn. There is a special section of heaven waiting for you.

Ah yes, the ladycat zoomies. Kara’s like my Zowie–she’ll do the crazy running around, and then my big tom, Percy, will start chasing her, and then she’ll hop up on the cat tree and give him an offended look, while he sits there and looks puzzled. ‘Why did you stop?! this was fun!’ 🙂
Yeah, Newt said “We were having fun! Why’d you stop?!”
When I got home from work Zowie was doing the zoomies, and Percy just couldn’t keep up. Then she smacked him; I guess he was following too close. 🙂
Robin, I know how you do it with the fosters as I do the same thing and feel your heart. I also said if I start keeping my fosters then I wouldn’t be able to foster any more. You are doing the right thing by letting go, that way you can continue taking in those in need and nurturing them into beautiful, healthy, social and very adoptable kitties. I always wished there was a way to keep in touch with all my fosters but I know that is impossible. The shelter I foster for has a page on their website for adopted animal called “success stories” people send in pics and write a little something about their pets including the pets old name from the foster and new name from the adopted families. I don’t know if you can do that at Petsmart. Do you have a little writeup/pics on each cage about the life they had with the foster parent? Love what you do with these babies and enjoy the morning read with my coffee.
Yes, there are write-ups on all the cats’ cages, and Challenger’s House has a book with pictures and descriptions of each cat available for adoption. I also send home a bag of toys and a note directing anyone who adopts one of my fosters to this site so that they can read about their new kitten when s/he was my foster. 🙂

I looked at that first pic of Newt and Kara running around like banshees, and I don’t think Newt was touching the ground at all! So fast, both of them!
I had to go look again (not least because those pictures crack me up), and I think Newt’s feet were all off the ground in the first two pictures! He was FLYING! 🙂

Oh, you know Magoo needs to come home! And Purslane – I love Purslane, too. It’s really a good thing I don’t live close to you, because my condo association says I already have enough cats (only two!)….

Hey! When did Magoo get a locket? Why don’t I remember seeing that before… Maybe because he’s usually laying down licking someone?
Star gets those crazies where she just HAS to run from one end of the house to the other (no outside here) and Leo would LOVE to chase her, but the minute she notices him even looking at her, she stops and glares at him, like she’s denying that she has those spurts of the crazies. Leo always looks slightly disappointed too.
He’s always had the locket – but yeah, he’s usually laying down or laying on his tummy, so it probably hasn’t shown up all that often in the pictures. 🙂
We call those the zip-its in my house.
