The award-winning kitten socialization team (Luli & Cat) came to visit yesterday – and they brought someone special to put the kittens in their place.
Maple, the kitten formerly known as Dillydally! She approved of the fall tunnel.
All of the kittens were very hissy and growly at first, none more so than our little floofmuffin Sydney. But she got over herself pretty quickly when the teaser came out.
Maple settled into a safe space and kept an eye on those kittens. She growled a lot, which surprised us all.
In the next instant, they hissed at each other of course.
All of the kittens were really good – they all stayed out. Well, Jeff he ran and hid in the closet at first, but then eventually came out. Once he was out, he stayed out. All kittens were petted and held with varying success. They were here for about an hour, but by the time they left Richie (who wanted NOTHING to do with any strangers at first) was enjoying being petted and was rolling around kneading.
(A++++ to the Luli & Cat team!)

Tina wonders if there’s a Churu in her near future. (Indeed there was!)
Sydney, Jeff and Carmy under the ham-mick.
Sydney keeps an eye on things.
Jeff and Carmy consider a nap.
“I wonder if I could get another one to stay belly-up next to him,” I thought.
Carmy’s like “What’re we doing here?”
They discussed the proper way to make arm hearts.
“Hmmm…” I said.
Why not go for the gold?
My work here is done. (From left: Richie, Jeff, Carmy, Sydney.)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Tina loves her Churu! (No, I have heard nothing about the applications Forgotten Felines has received on Tina. But we’re just coming out of a holiday weekend – makes it hard to check references, I’m sure – so I’m hoping I’ll have news by the end of the week, maybe.)

Line ’em up! From left: Jeff, Sydney, Carmy and Richie.) (No, that black cat on my monitor in the background isn’t Tina, that’s former foster Tricki from 2014)

Just a short clip of Sydney walking in slow motion. I love the way cats’ front paws move when they’re walking, it’s so graceful.
Good night innernets. (Jeff, in the pose we like to call “the dead armadillo.”)

You mean Maple, not Muffin, in that 3rd picture, or were both there?
Yes, it’s supposed to be Maple! It’s fixed now! I’m surprised I don’t do that more often. 🙂
Oh, thank you for the four-kitten lap photo this morning! Just wonderful.
Maple sure is gorgeous.
That kind of smugness occurs when you have it good.
Enjoyed seeing Tina getting to play!
Super job getting all four together belly-up like that! One of the cutest photos ever!
So, I’m a novice with Churu and find it messy as all get out. (Especially when tearing off the end didn’t actually open the tube!) Is there some trick to getting it into the cat without dripping it all over? Inquiring minds want to know. 😉
I keep a pair of small scissors by the treat drawer just for opening Churus.
The four kitties on your lap is the sweetest EVER!! Absolutely should be a calendar photo.
Ahh!!! I LOVE the 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 kittens-in-lap progression!
My Natalie calendar just arrived. So bittersweet. She was such a sweet, beautiful girl. And she had the most compassionate face. I miss her. Glad that Carmy has done so well with Tina and the Chefs.
