Carmy strikes a pose in the pink Adirondack chair.
Then Carmy started climbing the chair, and Richie was all “COME AT ME, BRO!”
Carmy detoured onto the couch, and Richie was all “You can’t do that!”
Richie posed on the Adirondack too.
But Jeff was too busy exploring to pose on any ol’ chair.
Tina tried to decide whether Richie needed a chomp or a cleaning.
She opened the milk bar, and Richie, Jeff and Sydney partook, while Carmy opted for some lap time.
Tina kept her eye on Carmy ’cause you just never know what that boy is gonna do next. (He was just sitting on top of the tunnel scratcher, being a good boy. You can see him in the mirror!)
Carmy and Richie (back) had a tussle, and Richie was appalled to report that Carmy seemed to be winning.

Charlie’s gonna take a nap, if y’don’t mind.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Carmy’s all “Lady WHERE WERE YOU?! It’s past time for breakfast and I’m having a starvation!”
Richie, Jeff and Sydney are 6 weeks old (and Carmy is 6 1/2 weeks old)! In the past week they’ve started eating solid food, have started using Tina’s litter box (which is much larger than the boxes they’ve been using) and are playing like crazy! Weights are below. (You can see their full weight spreadsheet here.)
Carmy: 31.6 oz/768.3 g
Richie: 25.6 oz/725.8 g
Jeff: 25 oz/708.8 g
Sydney: 23.3 oz/660.5 g

Tina’s kittens are just a wee bit rambunctious. The thing they do that really bugs her is when they play with her tail, and these kittens REALLY like to play with her tail, so she complains a lot. You’d think she’d go up high where they can’t get to her, but that doesn’t interest her – she’d rather complain. (I can relate.) (Her stomach is shaved because she was spayed last week. Her fur is growing in slowly, but it looks totally bare in pictures and videos still.)

Jeff and Richie at the milk bar. Yes, they are now eating solid food. And yes, they will nurse as long as Tina will let them… and she doesn’t seem inclined to stop them. Just before I made this video she called them to the milk bar and didn’t let up until Jeff and Richie stopped playing and came over to do as she instructed.
Good night innernets. (From left: Gumby, Richie, Sydney, Carmy & Jeff.)

Tina seems to be a particularly attentive and protective mother….almost a helicopter mom… or are most mother cats this way? She seems to be on the alert and watching the kittens even when she could be taking a break. Maybe she had kittens in the past in environments that were not so great?
Most mother cats are very protective, but she is especially so. I don’t know if she had a previous litter or not (we think she’s about a year old) or is just super protective because they’re her first litter, but I am pleased to announce that she is finally calming down a little bit. If they squeak or cry she’s right there, but for the most part she’ll just watch them run around the room.
Good Lord! They shaved half Tina’s hair off for her spay!?
I know, I was very surprised to see that when I picked her up!
Pink chair calendar.
Is Tina your most talkative Mamma?
I believe so! She MAY be a tiny bit quieter now that her spay is done and over with, but she still talks plenty!
A favorite loaf era has commenced – I like it! 🙂 Makes a good addition to the favorite pie genre.
Sydney’s coloring. Augh. *chef’s kiss* I’m full up but I’m in love with her, ngl. Jeff is also one handsome dude.
