We had some friends come to stay for a few days while their family was out of town. They might look a little familiar?
That’s Muffin on the left (former foster Ouiser), Waffle (not a former foster) in the middle, and Maple (formerly Dillydally) on the right!
I tried to get them to run the Chef Shrimpy’s truck, but they were zero percent interested.
Maple did not miss a STEP. She wasn’t the slightest bit scared, and it was like she’d never left.
Waffle was a bit nervous for a day or two, but soon enough he was completely fine. (Pictures don’t do him justice. He is SO FREAKING CUTE.)
It took Charlie about three days to realize that the door to my room was shut. He wanted in, so I let him in. Muffin said “I don’t think you belong in here, Mister.” And Charlie said “Yeah, I’ll be downstairs.” (Waffle was hanging out under the bed and sent a soft hiss in Charlie’s direction. Maple just sat in the cat tree and looked at him like “Yeah, it’s Uncle Charlie. So?”
Muffin looks so worried here, but she was just looking to see what I was doing. (Taking her picture, of course.)
They went home last night – it was so fun to have them here! They are the sweetest kitties. I thought about bringing a couple of the kittens in to meet them, but I was a little worried how Tina would be if they came back smelling like strange kitties (which is probably a silly concern, but there you go.) A++, would catsit again!

Realized she didn’t want to share…
And took it to her Loaf Pan of Safety where kittens cannot enter. (Or so she’d like to think!)
Richie and Tina on the cat tree.
There was a paper towel tube rolling around on the floor, and I picked it up to see if I could get Carmy to look at me through it. He was happy to!
Richie’s all “Who, me? About to bunny-kick Jeff? I’d never!”
I guess now it’s time for Carmy to bunny-kick Richie.

I’m not sure how he can be comfy with his butt hanging over the top like that, but Charlie was out cold.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Richie, Jeff and Sydney are 7 weeks old (and Carmy’s 7 1/2 weeks old.) They are continuing to refine their playing skills, their climbing skills, and their annoying-mama skills (they’re really good at that one!
Former fosters! Bolt (one of the Hopalong Gang from just a couple of months ago) and her big sisters Nala (formerly Kes, one of the Trekklings from last summer; she’s the floofy calico) and Sarabi (Troi, also a Trekkling; she’s the tortie). Amanda says: ” Just wanted to give you an update. Everyone is getting along well and playing with each other. They all love laying in the sun, and catching flies. Bolt and Sarabi love cuddling with each other.” (Nala’s tail is just amazing, isn’t it?)
Thanks, Amanda!

I gave the kittens a couple of packing straps (Does everyone know what packing straps are? Those plastic straps they wrap around large packages?) and they thought they were VERY cool.

Carmy and Sydney have a tussle in and on and around the Fruitasan and the Fauxtasan. (And there’s a brief moment where Richie pops out from under the bed after a toy mouse. I don’t know where Jeff was – off doing important Jeff things, I suppose.)
Good night innernets. (Richie, Jeff (back) and Sydney)

Oops! It’s fixed now. 🙂
Waffle has some serious ear hair going on! What a fun crew, so good to see the kittens all grown up.
Love seeing former fosters!!!
They all look so smug and content!!!
omg muffin and waffle and maple all look amazing!! Waffle and Maple have such lion faces. You took such amazing photos (as usual!).
Aww, Tina is so adorable!
Richie looks like he’s posing for his school picture in the 7 weeks picture montage.
He totally does!
In the “Maple did not miss a STEP ” picture, Maple/Dillydally’s face is the absolute cutest thing. That POOFY SMILE!! Love it. How fun to have had them all visit!
P.S. One year later, I’m just as amused by “sNewtful” as I was then! Good stuff. Good stuff, I say.
I was very pleased by it, too! 😀
Dillydally!!!!!!! Sweet sweet girl
First pic: Waffle looks like he asked to be called Major Tom and mom just laughed and said, “Isn’t he adorable?!?”
