Clairee chatters at the feather teaser.
This looks more like a smile, and it’s cracking me up. It reminds me of this picture from Calvin and Hobbes.
Drum’s little pink nose and his whiskers are just the CUTEST.
Playing on the bed (yes, I tossed those toys there for them.)
Shelby scheming to take that crinkly ball away from Drum.
Ouiser atop the cat tree, keeping an eye on me. Someone’s gotta!

Drum was on the floor looking up at Alice, and she was NOT amused.

Clairee (DOB 9/20/23, DSH white and buff female) was a stray turn-in to a local animal control along with her sister Ouiser and their brother Drum. They came into foster at Forgotten Felines of Huntsville when they were 7 weeks old, to join Shelby, a single kitten 2 weeks younger who needed age-appropriate playmates.
CLAIREE is a super sweet girl who purrs quickly, absolutely adores snuggling up for a long nap (purring the entire time), and will tolerate being held on her back like a baby. She’s always interested in what you’re doing and will sit and watch you with great interest. If you need a snoopervisor to keep an eye on you, Clairee’s your girl! Clairee is everyone’s best friend, and whether her brother Drum needs someone to play rough with, or her foster sister Shelby needs someone to snuggle up with, she’s up for the task. She is a very playful girl as well, and though she’s not much of a jumper, she loves to run around with a spring toy or a mylar ball in her mouth, growling at anyone who thinks they’re going to take it away from her. (She thinks she’s scary, but she’s far too cute to be scary – don’t tell her that, though!) She tends not to “show” very well – she’s used to only being around her foster parents and doesn’t see strangers very often, but if given some time to adjust, she will definitely show off her sweet personality and will snuggle with you. She gets along well with other cats and must have a kitten or young cat to play and snuggle with. If you’re looking for a pair (or a threesome!), she’s great friends with her brother Drum and foster sister Shelby. (She has not been around dogs in her foster home, but should be fine with nice dogs.)
If you’re interested in adopting Drum, email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org . He’ll be neutered on January 24th, and can go home as early as January 27th. Please read his description below, and

Drum (DOB 9/20/23, DSH classic orange tabby & white male) was a stray turn-in to a local animal control along with his sisters Clairee and Ouiser. They came into foster at Forgotten Felines of Huntsville when they were 7 weeks old, to join Shelby, a single kitten 2 weeks younger who needed age-appropriate playmates. DRUM is a total lovebug who walks around with his tail held so high that it curves over his back and nearly touches his head. He’s a happy, happy boy who loves to be snuggled, likes being flipped onto his back and held like a baby, and enjoys being kissed. He’s a burrower who will hang out under blankets or will tunnel into your hoodie and just sit there and purr like crazy. He’s not only a snuggly lap kitten, he is also a very playful boy – his favorite game is jumping up and batting ping pong balls out of mid air like a pro basketball player. He also loves jumping up after the feather teaser, chasing a laser light around, and chasing just about any toy you’ll toss for him. He tends not to “show” very well – he’s used to only being around his foster parents – but given a little time to adjust, we are positive that he will relax and show off his snuggly personality. He would do best in a home where there are no small children. He gets along well with other cats and must have a kitten or young cat to play and snuggle with. If you’re looking for a pair (or a threesome!), he’s great buddies with his sister Clairee and foster sister Shelby. (He has not been around dogs in his foster home, but should be fine with nice dogs.)

Shelby – (DOB 10/4/23, DSH black female) came into foster with her mother, M’Lynn, when she was three weeks old. She had been born as one of a litter of six kittens, but M’Lynn’s milk dried up, and the lady who had them didn’t realize there was a problem until it was too late. The other five kittens in the litter passed away, but Shelby hung in there. When she came to us, she was 3 weeks old, but the size of a 1 week old kitten. It was touch and go for a bit and there were some rough patches in there, but Shelby persevered, and now she is a totally normal weight for her age.
SHELBY is the quintessential wild child – she wants to just PLAY PLAY PLAY until she’s worn out, and then she turns into the sweetest little snuggler with the loudest purr. She loves all toys, but especially springs, rattly mice, and mylar balls. She will jump up after a feather teaser, play soccer with a ping pong ball, and chase any toy you’ll toss for her. If you pick her up and flip her onto her back like a baby she will – depending on her mood – struggle to get down and play some more, or just stay there and purr while gazing up at you and slow-blinking. She loves to play rough with her foster siblings, but also loves to curl up and next to you and nap the day away. If you’re busy working, she will happily keep your lap warm while you’re in meetings or typing away on your computer. She DOES NOT like to be alone, and if she can’t find a sibling or a human, she will cry and cry until she finds you (or you find her.) She gets along well with other cats and MUST have a kitten or young cat to play and snuggle with. If you’re looking for a pair (or a threesome!), she’s great friends with her brother Drum and foster sister Clairee. (She has not been around dogs in her foster home, but should be fine with nice dogs.

I’m tossing toys for the kittens (Ouiser, especially, is showing off her jumping skills), and we’ve got bonus Uncle Charlie in the crate.
Ouiser gives Uncle Charlie the ol’ snifferoo.
Good night innernets. (Shelby)
