I got out the laser light, and Uncle Charlie and the kittens were ENTHRALLED.
Drum is determined to get that light.
Charlie knows who’s making the laser light move around the room (I love the way Shelby is looking at Charlie, like she’s still trying to figure him out.)
With the Christmas decorations put away, the kittens now have the run of the entire house during the day (they go back into the foster room at night to give the permanent residents a break.)
Shelby skulking behind the couch to get a look at Uncle Charlie.
Ouiser flew too close to the sun (Auntie Alice) and got the ol’ smackeroo.
I don’t know where Shelby was, or I’d have put her on the stairs for a perfect picture!
Uncle Khal noted that Shelby and Drum were in Khal’s – meaning BELONGING TO KHAL – playground, and he was not pleased.
Khal literally spent the afternoon curled up on that track toy scratcher. He is willing to share his toys, but kittens have to EARN the right.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Shelby’s having a post-holiday slump and I think we should just nap the day away.

Last year I bought a disc launcher for the kittens, and then I forgot I’d bought it. A few weeks ago I rediscovered it, gave it a try (they’re large, lightweight discs – maybe 4 inches across), and the kittens love chasing the discs. The only problem was that I only have two hands and it was hard to hold the phone to make a video with one hand and load the launcher with the other, so I asked Fred to help. He handled the discs, I handled the phone, it worked out well – though it ended up longer than I’d intended! If watching kittens race wildly down the hall after spinning discs is your thing, then here ya go!
Clairee makes the leap and Ouiser’s just looking at me like “She’s never gonna make it.” (She did – and then she leapt from there to the bed because she is a monkey in a kitten suit.)
I do believe Ouiser’s about to get the ol’ chomperoo, and Shelby’s not sorry.
Good night innernets. (Drum, who is a perfect little cinnamon bun)

I figured Drum’s eyes were turning orangey-green, and they appear to be going that way. So pretty!
Love the crocheted cat blanket!!! I have made it twice and donated them to cat rescues in my area for them to sell to support their rescue efforts.
Do your kittens ever get injured during their tussles with each other in which you need to render medical care?
