This Friday, Charlie and Patty Peppers will be going to Petsmart. We sure are going to miss their crazy little faces around here. Who else will miss them? I think Jake will, because Jake loves him some little Peppers. And the little Peppers – especially Patty – love him right back.
Jake likes to hang out in this basket condo in the mornings (it’s located near a heat vent, and is sometimes partially on top of said heat vent), and more often than not Patty will climb in there with him for a while.
Even up on his platform in the kitchen, Jake can’t get away from her. She climbs up there and is like “I’m sure you were wondering where I was!”
“Where ya going?!”
That smile on her face kills me dead. If that’s not a look o’ love, I don’t know what is.
“Wait for me!”
(Pardon the blurriness.)
“Here I am! I know you were worried I wouldn’t find you!”
Sugarbutt’s all “Dude. Kittens be crazy.”
Jake: “Don’t I know it. This one’s obsessed with me.”
Charlie was sound asleep, and Jake decided that he needed a bath. So he went to work. What, like he needs an invitation?
Jake got in a few licks of his own.
Pardon me, sir, your tunes appear to be loony.
(Jake wonders if the Sons are as tasty as Charlie Peppers.)

Robyn, you are MAKING my new year. So when do the Sons get to break out of solitary (complete with Cat Cottage, a million toys, and a slave to their every whim) and mix with the gen pop? I’ll miss the beautiful Peppers — a lot — and hope like mad that they get to stay together. And why, pray tell, hasn’t Architectural Digest come calling? Surely a feature on Fred’s cat perches is in order.
Okay, my heart is breaking because the little peppers are leaving. I know it is very silly, but can’t help thinking about the condition these two little guys were in when they arrived. I hope they arrive (together) at their permanent home (together) soon (together)! Do you think someone out there might have gotten my message? 😀

I love my little Charlie. I hope someone perfect finds him lickety-split (and Patty, too). If I didn’t already have 4, my a$$ would be driving down there again to get him.
Hello from England! I’ve been reading for so long. I love your site, it is my favourite cat blog out there. I loved the link the other day to the cat greetings card and it reminded me that each time we hear the music (I wish I could remember what it was from, and the tune when the cat comes in) I like singing along. “fluffy little pussy cat meow, meow, meow, purr purr purr. Fluffy little pussy cat with whiskers and a tail.”
Anyway, I hope you get what I mean.
On one other note I made use of “boxing day” here in the uk to turn boxes in to a cat tank. I think what we have learned is while all these kitties are great personalities you obviously have kept the best personality kitten ever, Jake! Its amazing how he is with all the kittens/cats from what we see.
I will miss me some Patty Peppers. I hope Patty, Charlies, and the awesome Everett, Lucy, and Sally Peppers all find wonderful homes lickety-split!
