This beautiful quilt – “Dotty Cats” – made by Mary Long, is now up for raffle! It measures 84″x97″, and weighs a little over 5 pounds.
You can enter as many times as you like, for $5 per entry. There’ll be a live drawing Saturday (the 20th) around 7:15 (Central Time) from the foster room (hopefully I can get Drum, Shelby, Clairee and Ouiser to help out).
To enter: Check out the auction page – Forgotten Felines HSV Auction Page – or just send $5 per entry via PAYPAL to forgottenfelineshsv (at) yahoo.com and note “QUILT.” (See the auction page for instructions on sending checks or Venmo). You can enter through Saturday at 7 PM (Central Time.) Saturday evening (7:15ish) we’ll draw a winner live.
You DO NOT have to live locally or even in the US – we’ll ship the quilt to the winner (at no cost to the winner) anywhere in the world.
All proceeds benefit the kitties of Forgotten Felines of Huntsville.

I received a couple more cards late last week! See them here at Flickr (the album is arranged so that the newest cards received are at the beginning) or scroll through them below.

Clairee’s checking to see if there’s room in my lap for her. (There’s always room for more!)
Ouiser fell asleep between the pillows.
Drum is so very pleased with himself.
Shelby on the side of the tub.
And Shelby in the tub, with Drum on the side.
I tossed a Ping Pong ball in there, and they weren’t sure they liked it.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) this weekend.
I don’t know exactly what he’s thinking of here, but Drum looks VERRRY pleased with himself! Reminder: Forgotten Felines of Huntsville is accepting applications for Drum NOW (he goes January 24th for his neuter.) If this silly, snuggly guy seems like your kinda ornj dude, EMAIL info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire. We are located in Huntsville, Alabama; out of area adoptions ARE allowed, but adopters must come here to complete the adoption until such a time that someone donates a helicopter (and a pilot) to make deliveries easier.
Former fosters! We fostered Caroline (who was very pregnant when we got them) and Charles (the father of her kittens) back in 2019. (Holy cow, it was way back in 2019!) Two of those kittens, their sons Albert and Willie were adopted together, and this is what they look like these days! Albert is tiny like his Ma, and Willie is BIG like his Pa – if it wasn’t for their size difference, I don’t know that I’d be able to tell them apart. Aren’t they absolutely gorgeous? Those EYES.
(Thanks, Mikaela!)

Clairee and Drum have a tussle, and though he STARTED it, I’m not sure he was the victor in the end.
Clairee’s hanging out in the bathtub, bunny-kicking the bath mat. As you do!
Clairee is available for adoption – email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org if you think this sweet, silly girl would be the perfect addition to your family. We are located in Huntsville, Alabama; out of area adoptions are allowed, but adopters must come here to complete the adoption since our kitten delivery hot air balloon is still not working quite right.

When you wanna have a slappy fight with your sister, but you’re too warm and cozy under the blanket to come out and put some real effort into it.
Shelby’s like “So much paperwork, so little time!”
Good night innernets. (Ouiser and Clairee)
Ouiser is watchin’ the birds and dreaming of snow.

Drum shows off his basketball skills – as does Ouiser, to a lesser extent (I think she was winding down for nap time.) A little Shelby and Clairee in there, too. Hail, hail, the gang’s all here!
Good night innernets. (Clairee)
Shelby was hanging out in the bathtub (as you do), and Drum decided to join the fun!
Looks like I interrupted another meeting I wasn’t invited to!

I remembered that I have a bluetooth microphone that works with my phone, and Ouiser and Clairee were (sleepily) interested in it, while Shelby slept on. (I love nap time with kittens.)

I hope there’s time to take a bunch of snow pix – I’m so jealous!!
I haven’t taken any yet – mostly because the snow wasn’t covering the grass ’til after dark tonight – but I’ll get some in the morning. It doesn’t sound like it’s going to melt any time soon!
Unrelated. FYI, Do you know Bordernerds on fb? Also a rescuer/foster. Great posts. Lives in Houston.
No, I don’t know them – I’ll check ’em out! 🙂
Albert and Willie look smug and lazy while living the good life.
Good for them!
Ooh, the quilt is gorgeous! Love Ouiser in the pillows
I can’t get to the auction page – all I get is a blank FB page! – so I’ve persuaded PP to let me send $5.01 (I have to send in GBP, that was the closest I could get it!) to you. I hope.
I’ll check with the person in charge to be sure they received your PayPal!
Just heard back – your payment definitely made it, and we’ll put your name in the bowl for Saturday’s drawing. Good luck! 🙂
I hope Newt has a good response to the Solensia! I started my 18 yr old male tabby, Hunter, on it 9 months ago, and I swear it reversed his aging by a good 5 years! The improvement I saw in him after just the second shot was noticeable and has been pretty dramatic with subsequent shots. He’s moving around and playing like a much younger cat….He’ll be 19 this April! So nice to have an option like Solensia to make our elderly kitties lives more enjoyable!
I love hearing this! Judging by his trips upstairs over the past few days, he is definitely feeling better, I hope it continues to improve.
